Candlesticks signals on chart

It is possible to show the signals derived from the study of the chart with the Japanese candle, directly from the equity chart. To do that, select the "Candlestick Signals" from the list which appears clicking on the icon      from the main toolbar on the chart window.

Before doing that, it is necessary to calculate the signals, then study the security historical series.

There are two ways to do that.

  • Select the menu entry "Update Candlestick Signals with Options" or "Refresh Candlestick Signals" from the "Analysis" menu on the main program window.

  • Select the menu entry "Update Candlestick Signals with Options" or "Refresh Candlestick Signals" from the pop up menu which appears clicking on any security internal window with the right hand mouse button.

The difference between the two options "Update Candlestick Signals with Options" and "Refresh Candlestick Signals" is simply that in the first one it is possible to set the options, while the second will use the existing values. The second is simply a shortcut for when the options have already the correct values.

Keys of left vertical menu:

OK Update candlestick signals according with the specified options.
Cancel Exit from the window.

The available options are:

Update

Specify the data to explore. The possible values are:

All loaded periods

Explore all loaded periods

The n. periods before last date

Explore the number of periods, defined in the option "Periods", before the last data and time loaded.

Since date ...

Explore all periods starting from date time specified in the "Date" and "Time" Options.

Until date ...

Explore all periods until date time specified in the "Date" and "Time" Options.

The n. periods before the date ...

Explore the number of periods defined in the "Periods" options, before the data time defined from "Date" and "Time"

Periods Is the number of periods to explore. This is useful only when the options "Refresh" is equal to "the n. periods before last date" or "The n. periods before the date ..."
Date This is useful only when the option "Refresh" is equal to "Since date ...", "Until date ..." or "The n. periods before the date ..."
Time This is useful only when the option "Refresh" is equal to "Since date ...", "Until date ..." or "The n. periods before the date ..."
