Scheduled export on text file

Description:

The function allows to export automatically, at a given day and time, any number of securities to a text file.

The result will be a text file for each security. The name of every text file will be made from the name of the export and the security symbol. If for example, the theme of the export is "Export1" and the security name is "DAX30" the file name created will be : "Export1_DAX30.txt"

Every export, once it has been completed, describes in a log file all the operations that had occurred, the errors and any other relevant information. This is a great help for the user, especially in case same errors occurred. It helps to identify the possible problem.

Use:

To start the procedure, select the menu entry "Text File Export Wizard" from the menu "File" => "Data Files Management".

New Create a new Exit.
Copy Copy an existing export into a new one.
Delete Delete an export.
Save Confirm and apply all modifications done so far.
Exit Exit from the window.

To configure a new planned export, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new export, pressing the key "New" from the vertical menu on the left.

  2. Set the following options:

Execution time This is the time when the text file export, will start.
Path Is the folder where the files will be written
File format Is the format in which the records will have to be written on the text file
First date Is the first date of the interval of data to export
First time Is the first time of the interval of data to export
Last date Is the last date of the interval of data to export
Last time Is the last time of the interval of data to export

NBThere are also two other read only properties which display the data and the time of the last export.

  3. Add to the list, below the property grid, the securities to export. And finally press the button "Add Securities" just below the property grid. A window will be showed where it will be possible to choose, selecting them, the securities to add to the list that will be exported:

NB in order to remove a security that was add by error, or that for some reason should not be there, just select it from the security list, and press the button "Remove Security".

  4. Save the setting by clicking on the button "Save" from the vertical menu on the left.
