To execute one of these operations position the focus on the table Archives in the form "Edit - Update histories files".
From the vertical menu on the left, it is possible to create, copy, remove, modify or join data files:

New
|
Create a new data file in the selected Workgroup. After having pressed the New button, a new form appears. It is necessary to define some file properties:

Type
|
|
It defines the file data format
|
|
|
|
|
Path
|
|
It defines the location of the file on disk.
|
|
|
|
|
Name
|
|
It is the Security name
|
|
|
|
|
Symbol
|
|
It is the Security symbol
|
|
|
|
|
Periodicity
|
|
It is the data periodicity for the security. It can be Intraday, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly.
|
|
|
|
|
Minutes per bar
|
|
Only for Intraday periodicity. It defines the minutes represented by the period. If this value is zero, then the data is intraday tick by tick.
|
Selecting the option "Add to all WorkGroups", the security will be added automatically to all the existing WorkGroups.
To complete the new file creation, press the button "Save" from the vertical menu on the left.
Go back to the list of security pressing the button "List".

Copy
|
Create a new security from an existing one. After selecting the security to copy from a Workgroup security list and pressing the button "Copy" the same windows as the "New" operation, with the only difference that now it is possible to change only the Security Name and Symbol. Make the variations for the new data file and press the button "Save".
Go back to the list of security by pressing the button "List".

Delete
|
Remove as Security Data file. This operation is not reversible. Because of this, after having selected the security to be deleted, and pressing the button "Delete" a confirmation will be asked. If the answer is affirmative, the data file of the selected security is irreversibly deleted.

Edit
|
It allows to modify some of the security properties. The properties that can be changed are the Name and the Symbol. To confirm the changes press the button "Save".
It is also possible to execute the "Split" of data. Useful, for example in case of capital increase. To execute the operation, write the multiplication coefficient in the field, select the data/time of the first and last period to split and press the button "Execute Split". This operation is irreversible, and this is the reason why before proceeding, a confirmation is asked. When confirming the operation, a split will be performed based on parameters defined by the user.

Merge
|
This function allows to join two different data files. Particularly useful to merge two historical prices series of the same security when one is the continuation that the other. To execute the operation:

select the first security from the securities list of a given workgroup, and press the button "Merge". Its icon will change to  .

Select the second security and press the "Merge" button again. When the confirmation will be asked, answer affirmatively only if you are really sure you want to do this. This operation is not reversible. The resulting data set is contained on the first security.
The two files must of the same time base.
NB If you want to execute a Rollover it is suggested to use the appropriate guided function accessible from the menu "File", "Data Files Management", "Rollover Wizard".

Save
|
Confirm and apply all modifications done so far. What will be saved depends on the current context.

Exit
|
Exit from the window.
