Description:
To easy understand what an inner window is, just imagine a box containing a number of indicators and/or objects (trendlines, Fibonacci or Gann studies, text, circles, linear regressions etc.) attached to the indicators or directly to the window itself.
The number of inner windows, which is possible to open for a given security, is limited by the screen resolution and also by the system resources. Opening too many windows, means an overall decrease in performance as well as a lower refresh rate and update of the entire chart, which could be critical during real time operations.
An Internal Windows, which can be called also "Chart Window" is particularly important because it is the only one which can have the prices chart of the security and trading systems.
All other windows, which can be called "Indicators windows", are limited to a mere support role to chart windows, and can be opened anywhere, below or above the inner window.
In general, inner windows can be closed (a part from the chart one), zoomed, resized. They can also have different colors by setting the respective properties and using the icons on the top and left toolbar of each window.
Use:
to add a new empty indicator window to the active chart, there are several ways:

From the "Window" menu in the main program window select the entry "New inner window on the top" or "New inner window on the bottom" depending if the new window is positioned above or below the chart window.

From the pop-up menu (accessible by right clicking the mouse) select the entry "Internal Window", then " New on the top" or "New on the bottom" depending if the window is positioned above or below the chart window.
The new "empty" internal window, can contain any number of indicators and studies (objects).

Maximize
|

Simply click on the icon
on the upper right corner of the internal window. To go back to normal size, click on the icon which has, in the mean time, replaced the previous one.

Select the entry "Maximize" from "Internal Window" on the pop-up menu (which appears by right clicking the mouse)

Minimize
|
Click on the icon on the upper right corner of the internal window.
|
|
Close
|
Click on the icon on the upper right corner of the internal window, or select the entry "Internal Window"=> "Close" from the context sensitive menu. It can be accessed by right clicking with the mouse on any security internal window except for the chart window.
If the internal window contains any indicator, before it is closed, a message appears asking if its content has to be deleted too or moved to another window. It is possible to set a preference so no confirmation is asked and the deletion occurs immediately. This is done from the "Show & Delete Window" entry on the "View" menu in the main program window.
The chart window cannot be closed, unless the chart is also closed.

Refresh
|
Click on the icon on the upper left corner of the internal window. The function gives a refresh of the chart on the selected window.

Resize
|
The resizing is only vertical and can be controlled by clicking and keeping pressed down the left mouse key when the cursor is positioned on the gray line which separates windows.

Clear
|
Select the entry "Clear" or "Clear All" from the "Internal Window" on the pop-up menu which appears by right clicking the mouse when the cursor is on the internal window. This function deletes all the studies (objects) which are on the selected window or in all windows according to the user choice.
The "Clear" function, unlike "Clear all", does not delete all objects which belong to more windows (i.e. Fibonacci cycles).

Indicators list in the inner window
|
By pressing the icon on the top left window corner, the list of all indicators inside the window is displayed, from which it is possible to select the active one. The list is visible also by selecting the entry "Attached" from the "Indicators" menu on the pop-up menu which appears by right clicking the mouse when the cursor is on the chart window.

Single/Multi Indicator
|
When a new inner window is opened, the predefined setting is "Single Indicator". By clicking on the icon on the top left side of the window, all indicators present inside the window will be shown at the same time. With a second click on the same icon the visualization go back to a "single indicator". In the chart window, the icon is not present. In fact all indicators are visible.

Indicators Scale
|
It allows to adapt the scale of the Y-axis of all indicators present on the internal window, to the scale of the active indicator on that same active window. Useful to compare indicators. To change the state of the scale it is enough to click with the mouse on the icon located on the upper left of the window. To go back to the previous step, click again on the same icon .

Attached Trading Systems List (only for the chart window)
|
By pressing the icon on the upper left side of the chart window, the list of all the attached trading systems is displayed. The list is also visible by selecting the entry "Attached" from the "Indicators" menu on the pop-up menu which appears by right clicking the mouse when the cursor is on the chart window.

Y-axis Variation
|
By clicking on the Y-axis, and dragging the mouse, it is possible to change the Y-axis scale.
To go back to the initial scale press the icon

Position & levels on chart
|
By activating the menu entry "Show position levels on chart", from the menu "View" in the main program window, or from the pop-up menu by right clicking the mouse when the cursor is positioned on the X or Y axis, the period indicators (X-axis) and level indicators (Y-axis) will be shown when moving the mouse on the chart. This function facilitates the user to quickly and correctly identify the co-ordinates of the mouse pointer any time.

Indicators values on Y-axis
|
From the Y-Axis properties it is possible to decide if the indicators values are shown or not. This is useful to have an instant vision of the value the indicators have on the last period visible on the right.
On the chart window, the indicators values, are not visualized, if the backline is active. Here the information on the indicators values, are positioned on the upper side of the window.

Information
|
The information on the internal window, the name of the active indicator, and the value which the indicator assumes in the period selected with the mouse, are reported on the upper part of each indicator window.
|
Each window also has other properties (like for instance the background color). This allows the user to customize it according to one's preferences.
To access the windows properties (from the control panel), select the entry "properties" from the pop-up menu which appears by right clicking the mouse on any internal window. Alternatively, access directly to the control panel, selecting from the menu on the first button of the toolbar (clicking on the arrow on the right of the button) the entry "Internal Windows".
In both cases it is necessary to have an opened security.
